After more than 20 years working as a Commercial Director in the corporate world, I realised something crucial: the expertise that helps big companies thrive isn’t just for them. I started my career with a degree in Economics and Politics, which shaped my understanding of both financial systems and human relationships in business. During my placement year at Rolls-Royce, I discovered my passion for commercial strategy and contract management, which became the foundation of my career.

From there, I worked my way up through senior commercial management roles in several corporate companies, eventually becoming a Commercial Director. In this role, I led global teams, navigated complex negotiations, and developed strategies that improved profitability and minimised risk across various industries.

While I loved the challenge of working with major corporations, I began to feel a disconnect. So many smaller, passion-led businesses and startups lacked access to the tools and insights that drive success simply because they couldn’t afford a full-time commercial director. I saw an opportunity to bridge that gap. These businesses are often driven by purpose, creativity, and a vision for something bigger—and they deserve the same level of expertise and strategic support.
