Giles Calver
Brand and Marketing Strategist
The first five years of my career were spent in advertising. Working as a ‘suit’, I progressed from Account Manager to Account Director supporting automotive, charity, finance, health and leisure clients.
In 1990 I joined forces with Harry Pearce and Domenic Lippa to co-found Lippa Pearce. Together we built a multi-disciplinary creative agency with a client roster in the e-commerce, food, healthcare, government, professional services, publishing, retail and travel sectors.
In 2010 joined Sedley Place as its Planning Director, having spent the previous four years working as a freelance branding consultant. I also joined the Design Council’s Designing Demand programme, helping businesses embrace branding and design and understand their impact. During my 14 years at Sedley Place I headed up its Branding & Graphics Team and was responsible for working with clients in the drinks, finance, hospitality and property sectors on their branding strategies.
I work with start-ups, grow-ups and scale-ups, helping them clarify, align and differentiate their brands, and achieve consistency across all their touchpoints.
