Where Next? How FonD Members Are Shaping Our Expansion

Fractional on Demand is growing, and the direction of that growth is being shaped by the people who matter most: our members and the fractional directors who are asking to join us.

This is not expansion for the sake of it. It is a response to genuine demand from experienced professionals who want access to a credible, professional peer community in their region.

Opening Waitlists for New Hubs

We are opening waitlists for four new locations: Oxford, Cambridge, Guildford, and Essex.

These areas represent places where we have seen emerging interest from fractional directors who are looking for what FonD offers: meaningful peer connection, professional standards, and a community that understands the realities of working at a senior level independently.

The waitlist approach allows us to gauge demand before we launch. It ensures that when we open a new hub, there is sufficient interest to create a meaningful local community. This reflects our commitment to quality over volume. Hubs are built where there is genuine demand, not simply to expand our footprint.

Why the Hub Model Works

The FonD hub model is designed to give members both local depth and network-wide access.

Every member is aligned to a local hub. This might be Brighton, Chichester, Bristol, Hampshire, or Online. That alignment gives them a consistent group of peers to build relationships with over time. It creates the depth and trust that comes from regular, face-to-face connection.

But alignment to one hub does not limit access. Members can attend any hub's events as part of their membership. They can visit Bristol one month, Brighton the next, and join the online meetup whenever it suits them. This structure supports strong local relationships whilst enabling wider collaboration across the network.

Between in-person meetups, an active WhatsApp community keeps members connected. It is a space for day-to-day discussion, knowledge sharing, introductions, and informal peer support. The combination of local hubs, network-wide access, and ongoing digital connection creates a community that works both regionally and nationally.

Join Online Whilst You Wait

If you are interested in one of the new hub locations but it has not launched yet, you do not need to wait.

You can join FonD online now and access all membership benefits immediately. That includes monthly online meetups, the WhatsApp community, the members directory for professional visibility, and the ability to visit any existing hub as part of your membership.

Online membership provides full network access. It allows you to connect with peers, contribute to discussions, and be part of the community whilst we build towards a local hub in your area.

What This Expansion Represents

This growth reflects something important: the increasing recognition of fractional leadership as a credible, professional model.

More experienced directors are choosing to work fractionally. They are stepping away from full-time executive roles and building portfolio careers that give them autonomy, variety, and the ability to work with multiple organisations.

But working independently can be isolating. Fractional directors lose the informal conversations, the sounding boards, and the peer relationships that came with being part of a leadership team. They need a professional community that understands their world, and they need it to be grounded in their region as well as connected to a wider network.

That is what FonD provides, and the demand for it is growing.

Who FonD Is For

FonD is designed for experienced fractional directors and senior professionals who work fractionally or in portfolio roles.

This includes established fractional directors, senior leaders transitioning from corporate or full-time executive roles, C-suite or director-level professionals working part-time or on projects, and portfolio professionals who treat fractional work as a long-term model, not a stop-gap.

Members are typically UK-based, have a strong track record in their field, are independent by choice but not interested in working in isolation, are used to senior-level conversations and decision-making, and value professionalism, peer respect, and shared standards.

FonD is not a general networking group. It is not a lead-swapping club, a training provider, or a social community. It is a professional network for people who have already established themselves at a senior level and want to connect with peers who understand what that means.

How to Get Involved

If you are interested in joining a new hub, you can add your name to the waitlist for Oxford, Cambridge, Guildford, or Essex. Your interest helps us understand where to prioritise new hub development.

If you want to join FonD now, you can become a member online and access the full network immediately. That gives you everything you need whilst we work towards launching a hub in your area.

And if you are already near one of our existing hubs in Brighton, Chichester, Bristol, or Hampshire, you can join and start attending in-person meetups straight away.

This expansion is being shaped by the people who need it. If you are one of them, we would be glad to have you as part of it.
